Hi friends,

My husband happens to be the primary applicant. Our score is 469 and we received ITA during 12th July round. I had mentioned my Indian work experience in the work profile field on my application. My document checklist demands work reference letters from me. Considering my last standing with my previous organisations it is highly unlikely that I'd be able to produce any of it.

What is the way ahead? Please help!

Remove those positions from the work history section and include them only in the personal history section. Your foreign work experience is irrelevant to the PA application.
Thanks for a prompt reply. Also, after mentioning the work experience in personal history, the document checklist changed and asked me for a letter of explanation. What should it ideally include? Doesn't the work experience mentioned in personal history speak for itself?

The LOE placeholder was not created due to the change you made. It is a placeholder that appears in every single applicants' checklist, it is also an optional placeholder for you to explain anything that you believe requires an explanation.

Thanks again for the clarification. A last query-

My husband, too, won't be able to furnish any work reference letter. He has a continuous 6 years work experience in one company. What is an alternative in his case?

He is planning to get a noterised document from one of his project colleagues. It will contain all that is required from a work reference letter. Would that suffice. Along with which he shall also be showing his appointment letter, his pay stubs, promotion letters etc.

Ideally i'd recommend providing proof that his employer refused to provide a reference letter, added to add I'd also recommend to provide proof that his colleagues work at such company. This plus what you are providing is the recommended approach to take but I cannot say for certain whether this will suffice.
