I got assessed by WES 2 years ago and they were not able to credit my bachelor's degree and given me a 2 year diploma. However, i just recently had my 2nd assessment through IQAS and based on some individuals' advice, they had more than 2 years of education credentials unlike WES because i think they only have a list of universities. anyone who have the same situation? THANKS!!!
Hi,
Thank you for sharing your experience with WES. I had a similar experience regarding my MA degree - WES do not accept degrees from institutes that are other than 6 regional accrediting bodies in the US. My university is an online one but is accredited by the US Dept of Education, US State Dept, the DEAC, as well as CHEA - all of which are credible organizations within the United States.
I was sent a WES course-by-course report (I hadn't applied for immigration to Canada back then). WES gave me a '1 year degree from an unrecognized institute' report. I have been advised by friends to approach IQAS for the immigration report as it would perhaps be more accommodating.
I have some questions though, if someone could please help:
1) would it be okay for EE to have my masters and bachelors degrees evaluated by 2 diffferent Assessment bodies? MA by IQAS and Bsc by WES?
2) Do you or anyone here recommend IQAS or CES or ICES for my MA - please note that it was obtained online?
