My PR application is in progress. Can I apply for WP?

Hello,

I've submitted my profile for PR in March 2018 with CSR score of 432. As of July 2018, my company wanted to apply for WP for me. I wanted to know if applying for WP while PR application in progress will cause any issues?

Any suggestions?

No issues - go ahead and apply for a work permit.

Curiosity question? Since all ITA this year were only 440+, how come "your PR application is in progress" if you have only 432 points.
So either you have a PNP
or all you have is just EE profile, which is like having nothing.

Based on the post - OP has submitted a profile under EE but has not been selected. Agreed the "in progress" is misleading.

Which means that he might wait forever. But it would also mean that he would have no problem with a WP, as he did not apply for PR, which would work against him, unless it was a spousal open WP (during the sponsorship time) or BOWP.
