Apply online or offline? Differences between both: 4 month bank statement or 6?

I searched these forums for a post about differences between applying online and offline, but I didn't find any explanation.

In the online application, it asks for 4 months bank statement. Yet I see 6 months is recommended on these forums. Is 6 months for offline application only?

In the online application, can you submit multiple documents in the same category? Like submit 4 month bank statement AND real estate deed AND valuation of real estate under "Proof of means of financial support"?

"Schedule 1" is listed under "Optional" but the hint sounds like it is NOT optional. Is it optional or mandatory?

If you apply online, how will you submit passport for stamping if you're accepted? Do you still have to go through VFS and pay their fees?

1- Submit 6 months Bank statements
2- Though schedule 1 is optional I had to submit it. None of the questions ally to me.
The system would not let continue to paying the fees without submitting it
3- after you get request for Passport, you send original.

So 4 months is insufficient even though the hint says 4 months? Did you submit anything else as "Proof of Means of Financial Support"?

The instructions are a bit confusing. I saw both 4 and 6 months. To be on the safe side I submitted 6 months
Pay stubs are also proof of means of financial support
I submitted online not to the embassy
Since I'm in the US I can only submit online
