From what I noticed by studying the excel sheet was applicants who applied at the start of 2017, more or less had their decisions made with 7 to 7.5 months. But again, you are right every 'straight-forward" case is unique and the processing times have differed wildly.

I’ve been reading like mad, and like everyone else, I suppose I’ve been hoping for a difinitive answer....and I know that there isn’t one. But one can still hope, right??

Our was transferred May 29, and our eCAS says ‘we started processing your file on May 31’. They haven’t started the background check yet, and we expect that to be as straightforward as can be. It’s hard not to be impatient, but I know we have some waiting to do yet.

Ours was transferred on Nov 20 2017, PA lives in Saudi Arabia born and raised there and never stayed more than 6 months outside her country of residence (zero travel history). Medical passed on Nov 1st 2017 and, according to LVO, residence of Saudi Arabia does not need a PCC unless asked specifically by LVO. Its been nearly 8 months from transfer date and over 10 months from the day application was received (Sep 12 2017) and not a word from LVO. Waiting for my 3rd GCMS notes in two weeks, the last GCMS note under Group name it change from (Secondary review) to (Primary Gulf Fact-Finding) that's on April 19 2018.

Its really frustrating as i see me closing the 12 month without even a BGC. My ECAS and GCKEY haven't changed from the day medical passed neither. I'm confused and growing impatient every week .

That does sound super frustrating!

Is it time for me to be added to the spreadsheet?! Applied outland common law, currently living in the UK so London should be our VO.
Application received in Mississauga: June 1st 2018
AOR1 (email to sponsor): July 11th
Medical requested (email to PA): July 13th

That's all we have so far. Now I'm off to figure out what ECAS and GCKEY and myCIC etc mean! I've got a lot of abbreviations to learn.

I have added you to the spreadsheet, please post updates on this thread. Thank you for participating and best of luck for a speedy processing!

Nobody knows and it doesn't go in order. But if I were you, I would settle in for a further 2 - 3 months wait - nowt you can do about it I'm afraid!

After your medical passed, did you have an update on ECAS saying your PR application is now under process (with a new date after the medical) or something like that?

London Oct 2017 applicant. i got a pre arrival services letter a few weeks back and then got asked to provide form IMM5562 travel information. This isnt even required for a British citizen. Any idea why they would even ask for that!?

PR processing 8.5 months... Waiting for COPR letter in mail...100 years! Or so it feels like!

Gone from checking my inbox to checking my mailbox! Hoping today is the day!

I know the feeling! Then once you have landed, repeat the process waiting for your PR Card!!

Hello,

I applied to sponsor my husband (Egyptian living/working is Saudi Arabia) in September 2017. Our file was transferred to the London Visa Office on December 29th, 2017 and we have not received any update since this.

The online application status hasn't changed since the file was assigned to the LVO:
  1. We received your application for permanent residence on September 12, 2017.
  2. We started processing your application on December 29, 2017.
  3. We sent you correspondence on November 1, 2017. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.
  4. We sent you correspondence on November 6, 2017. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.
  5. Medical results have been received.
I emailed the LVO on May 14th, 2018 and they sent me a message back on June 4th stating "Please be advised that this application awaits a full review in London. Once this review has taken place, we will be in contact.

I requested the GCMS notes on June 8th, 2018 and just received them this morning. All it really seems to say is the application is in progress. Assessments - Eligibility, Security and Criminality have all not started and are all showing a due date of 2018-11-01. Only the medical is showing as passed and info sharing as complete. On 2018-04-19 it is showing Primary Gulf Fact-Finding which is in progress.

I don't know what this means? That they haven't been started processing yet it seems.

We hired a lawyer so we are unable to link the application and see the GCKey updates.

I am starting to get very concerned as we are now passing the 10 month mark and nothing seems to be happening. I am wondering if anyone has any advice or information they could share with me?

Nothing unusual about this timeline I am afraid. Wouldn't be surprised if you don't see movement until 12 months or so.

Does any one know how long it could take the LVO to make a decision once they have all the updated information. Received a letter asking for another criminal record check from my husbands home country of Hungary, a signed schedule A and travel history. the status says that we are still in process. I am not sure what to think at this point as we did receive a pre arrival services to Canada after they requested they the additional information. My husband is living in the U.K. right now.
