Hello,

I am having a hard time completing the application form for spousal sponsorship. I am the applicant and my wife is living in Canada as the sponsor.

Wife - Canadian born > In Canada
Husband, me - British Born > Completing form in UK
Child - Canadian > In Canada

On the Generic Form imm0008enu_2d.pdf it asks to list all dependent whether they are accompying me to Canad even if they are not already Canada (if think that's right). Do I,

1. Do not list my child or wife on this section
2. List my wife and child on this form?

There is also a consent section at the bottom of the page, it states I, First Name/Last Name ________________ am i suppose to type my name in as it does not allow me to do this nor does it allow me to delete the line? Am I suppose to print then write my name then scan it and then print it?

Thank you for you help in advance.

Hi

On the form, it states: You must include your spouse or common-law partner, if applicable, and all of your dependent children, and those of your spouse or common-law partner, who are not already permanent residents or citizens of Canada.

You print and write your name. Not sure why you would think you would need to write your name and then scan it and print it again.

That is what I am confused about, it’s the wording they use. Some people state if your wife and child are already Canadian then they need to go on the additional family form not the generic and others say vice versa.

I now understand what you mean about printing them signing, sorry not logically thinking.

IMM008 says to include dependents unless they are already Canadian. Your wife and child are Canadian and therefore not included. I don't understand where the confusion is.

All family members are listed on the Additional Family Information form, regardless of status.
