CIC website based CRS calculator is accurate or not ?

my consultant in india had projected my CRS score as 444 and when i actually got it was 474 !

may b the consultant purposly tell you lower score or they are following wrong software.

really people should check on CIC calculator if thats accurate rather than believe in consultants ?

Cic CRS calculator is accurate.
Agents create such environment to show they have a tough case and they are working hard when in reality the clients scores are good and they have to do nothing.

Forget about agents etc. The calculator is accurate

This happened to me. The CRS calculator gave me a CRS of 444 however when I created EE profile, it gave me a CRS of 449.
Basically , CRS calculator was not issuing points for my Wife's IELTS.

I noticed a similar issue in my application as well. My work experience are as follows:
1. 6 month internship as coop during undergrad
2. 1 year FT employment
3. 1 year and 9 months FT employment
4. ongoing internship started in June - ends this August ( but is shown as ongoing in my application)
with the above my CRS was at 481
So recently I came across a few posts debating showing internships in the job history so I decided to remove the 6 month internship which changed my score to 456 which was still above the cut off during my draw (451) but did not make the change yet on the PR application.

Today, I decided to remove the 6 month internship from my PR application yet my score remained unchanged at 481 ! So I dont know if something is wrong with the calculator but I saved it anyways and am gonna submit with the new changes as there is no misrepresentation in any case.

I suppose with my ongoing internship, I may have hit the 3 years or more mark. or might something be wrong with the calculator ?

if your applying for PR when you check your score on the application, it gives you a breakdown of the score.
Check if the points distribution was the same before as in check to see where you had a score increase.

The calculator was very accurate for me.

viki1805 I'm saying use the score breakdown on your PR application as a guide to find where the additional points are coming from.

All the best with your application :)

lol I dont see any additional points. it looks exactly the same as it was when I included the Co op internship. I am just assuming that maybe the dates of my ongoing internship kicked in bringing the work experience total back to 3 years and so the points are the same.
Anyhow I removed the co op internship to be safe

Ok kl. plus your score is high enough regardless in case IRCC has any issues, you should be fine anyway

thanks for your help ! @hope2018 helped me break it down and I was right, the latest internship kicked in bringing my work exp back to 3 years which is why the score remained the same.

So the CRS Calculator is Accurate !
