Hello All.

I am sponsoring my husband from The Philippines.
My current passport has my maiden name in it and its the passport i used in my application to sponsor. It has all my visas in it from visiting the philippines, and staying there.

This passport expires in on September 15 2018.

For my NEW passport, i have requested my name as my married name because all of my other ID cards show my married name.

Will changing my name on the passport be an issue for immigration?

I emailed Manila Visa Office about it 2 weeks ago and they havent answered me.

My forms are ready and on stand by to be mailed out, and i would like to go vet my husband once the visa is ready.

Thank you in advance

Hi! I did this mid application and it didnt cause any issues. Make sure you take copies of the old passport in case they need it. once i had the new passport with my married name, i sent immigration a copy of it to let them know and that was that!

I sent my application for a new passport out about an hour ago.
