$200 returned after I sent Citizenship Application?

I Haven't gotten any notification/emails, but I got $200 credited to my bank account - does anybody know what this means? I only sent off the application two weeks ago??

I doubt it's a refund from CIC. Ask your bank who sent you the money.

Is it possible that you paid too much for total citizenship fee?

I paid $630 as per the guidelines below:

Note sure why they've only taken $430 and given me back $200 now.

How did you pay? Through that same account? I think they returned it to the wrong account. They were return the $200 to someone and they returned it to you.

Hopefully you don't get an email saying: 'in order to take the oath, you need to return the $200...'

On a serious note, if you feel uneasy about it, you could contact the call centre or use the form to inquire.

Hmm strange. I don't see how CIC will process your application and send you a refund in just two weeks. Did you receive the refund on your credit card? Maybe someone used your credit card to pay for application fee and cancel the application afterwards.

Why don’t you give them a call ?

Based on what you wrote, you didn't do anything wrong. So, there is nothing to worry about. As 'scorph' said before, just call or write them to report the issue.
