Hi,
I am staying outside Canada currently and I applied for PR under CEC category in 2013 and received my PR earlier in 2014.
I then resigned from my organization in current country and in parallel started searching for job in all over Canada but not much luck.
I am planning to Land in Toronto in couple of months and have already booked my tickets and a short term accommodation as well in Toronto.
After searching for a Job for couple of Month's I finally got a job but it is in QC.
I am in dilemma now what to do? Can I move to QC and join the company after landing? This is a good opportunity and I don't want to miss.
I came to know from few forums that only diff it will make is that I would not be able to receive certain QC provincial benefits.
However, some forums people had written that if CEC finds out they might even Revoke my PR.

Request comments from Seniors and Experts.

Regards,
R

Could any of those people actually point out actual cases of people having lost their PR due to moving to Quebec after landing? I haven't heard of one. Doesn't mean it hasn't happened though.

Immigration is touchy about following the guidelines of your immigration class at least until your landing so you should at least land outside QC and give a non-QC address for your PR card. After that, it's up to you. The charter of rights and freedoms gives you as a PR the right to live and work in any province. However, when you applied, you stated that you intended to live outside Quebec so if you were planning to live in Quebec when you landed, you could actually be accused of misrepresentation. Therefore, you would at the very least want it to look like you were not yet planning on moving when you landed and that means staying for at least a couple of months before you move.

That's true. You can also argue that such was the case when you submitted the application, but now circumstances have changed. It's not necessarily misrepresentation.
The flip side is that you were approved on that basis (doesn't intend to reside in QC).
This is almost similar to provincial nominees moving to other provinces.

Once you become a permanent resident you have full mobility rights and can go anywhere in Canada.

However, if it can be proven that you lied in your application to obtain your PR, in this case about the province you would be residing at, then proceedings for revoking your PR can begin.

Has it happened? Unlikely. Federal government doesn't have the resources to worry about Quebec's absurd eccentricities. They're not gonna have agents running around arresting people for moving to the "wrong" province.
