Hi.

I've been working with the same company for almost a year. For the first two months, I held a Team Lead position (NOC B category), and then I got promoted to Assistant Manager (NOC 0). Will those first 2 months count towards my 1 year experience, or does the experience have to be within the same NOC category (say, 0 or B) entirely?

Hi there,

It should go through, changing categories as long as they are inline should be fine. You can't become a manager of a restaurant after preparing dishes as a line chef! It has to make sense. I'm not gonna lie, it's an odd jump in your case, only after two months! It might raise some flags but as long as it is justified properly and thoroughly you should be fine.

All the best mate,

If you are talking about Canadian experience, the first 2 months will count, does not have to be the same job/NOC.
