Hi All,
I have a situation here, I submitted my express entry application in may and currently background check is in progress. Now, I'm planning to get married(around December) after I get my COPR. My fiance already got his COPR last month and will be landing in Canada by October and will return to get married once he gets his PR card. My question is:
1. When I update cic about my change in marital status(assuming that I already will have COPR by then) , how long will the whole process take given that my husband would already be a PR holder by then?
2. Will my application roll back to start?(do I need to submit PCC, medical etc again?)
3. Is there a better way we can schedule all our events(marriage, landing etc) to minimise the time of processing so that we have to stay apart for minimum time period?

Hi All,
I have a situation here, I submitted my express entry application on 20th may and currently background check is in progress. Now, I'm planning to get married(around December) after I get my COPR. Dont do that. Land in Canada, then update CIC about your marriage. Since you both will be PR holders by then.

But wouldn't that be considered as a case of misinterpretation? As I will be married before landing.
Register your marriage post PR.

Hi

As your spouse will already be a PR when you get married, you just send IRCC a copy of the marriage certificate and his COPR. It will not delay your app and you will not have to have your COPR/visa re-issued.
