Got my EOR result today.
Happy to report that I got a raise of 0.5 band in writing.
Test Date : 24th March 18 (BC)
Score before EOR: L8 R7.5 W6.5 S8
Score after EOR: L8 R7.5 W7 S8

Hi Guys, you wouldn't expect me to have any positive remark on IELTS, especially after several comments on how I feel they are money looting mongers. But fortunate for me, this is how they ended my IELTS journey and I surely believe it was a divine miracle especially for a disbeliever like me. Now, back to the specifics
I took IELTS 3 times and opted for 2 EOR with the following score:
1st Attempt: LRSW 8.5,6,7,7 on the 1st of Feb with BC (I was very sure my reading was not good as i guessed few answers due to time constraint)
2nd Attempt: LRSW 8.5,7.5,7,6.5 on the 7th of April BC (Was confident on my writing so opted for remark on 27th of April and EOR result 2nd of June)
3rd Attempt: LRSW 8,8,7,6.5 on the 12th of May IDP (Was confident on my writing and opted for remark on 9th of June and EOR result 30th June)
EOR Outcomes
2nd Attempt: nothing change and it had a negative ripple effect on my feelings for the next EOR.
3rd Attempt: Got an increase of 0.5 in writing to my surprise with: LRSW 8,8,7,7
Thanks to everyone on this group, I wouldn't have done a remark if not for the success stories I found here.
Final tips for those struggle with writing: I noticed while preparing that most band 7 and above writing samples contain a wide range of less common vocabularies. At least one in every sentence. If you combine this with the tip on writing from E2Language youtube videos, you stand a good chance of reaching your desired score.

Applied for a writing remark on June 6th, exam date was May 24th.
The person working @ BC told me that remark times have been reduced as of the end of May to 2-4 weeks, so I should be getting my result by the end of this week.
