Hey!
So I'm in a bit of a conundrum. First, my PR application is about to turn 1 year old. It was received July 7th 2017. I called CIC to see if they needed anything and the agent said that they do not and that it shouldn't be much longer.
Second, my open ended work permit expired when my last passport expired. I have since renewed my passport and applied for an extension of the work permit (still in progress).
Since I am in Canada at the moment does that mean I am without status? Should I stop working?
If I were to board a plane for a domestic flight, would that be a issue? or am I just paranoid?

I appreciate the feedback!

Did you apply for the OWP extension before your first OWP expired?

I did not. I applied 5 days after it expired so I applied as restoration of status rather than renewal. :S
Ah - OK. That's good you applied for restoration.

Yes, but does that mean I am without status? and should I stop working asap?
Also thanks for the replies! :)
I didn't realize you were still working. You needed to stop working as soon as your OWP expired. You're working illegally right now. Yes - you need to stop immediately.
