Thanks a ton mate, our marriage certificate mentions both names for my spouse: "MyName MySurname married to HerName MySurname (before marriage - HerName HerSurname)". do i still need same name affidavit as marriage certificate specifies both names
Also, if i mention maiden name in Other Names, it will be same as applicants name because our entire application, all her documents have her maiden name only. the only place where my surname is used is marriage certificate.
No if your spouse's main name and your surname appears after her name, no need for the affidavit.

@legalfalcon but in one of the pages of my GCMS notes under the ARRANGED EMPLOYMENT it's is mentioned FSW ARRANGED EMPLOYMENT - MET. So if it's MET then why have they mentioned Review Required in notes.
These are two different things. Once is reviewing the docs, and baed on the docs the status was met, but upon review, which is in the notes, that is what is important.

@legalfalcon thanks so much! I’ll wait then... since my last gcms notes only had review required in the analyst’s section for the eligibility without any reason and the summary had eligibility as not started, should I assume that there are some cases where the analysts don’t review eligibility. Instead the computer marks those ones as review required? I’m just trying to understand why the analyst marked eligibility as review required without giving a reason. I know that there’s a lot of backlog these days. So could this be a new step, where the analysts only check r10 compliance?
No, its is always the analyst. IF the analyst has any concerns, it will be review required, which is an indication to the officer to review it and make a decision.

As no ppr yet (assessment set as approved on 25th April) I am getting a little nervous.

@legalfalcon

Two months post this status and still no ppr. At this stage I would assume the missing 'Passed' comment on Security, HIRV,
Criminality, Org crime & Misrepresentation would explain the delay. But still can not understand why the final assessment was set to: 'Passed' while these queries were not finalized.

Technically still two weeks within the six months time frame (R10 wise) & no activity from the local VO since 4th June from any of the applicants (seems like already on summer holiday).

Based on your experience what are the chances of a (positive) answer within the six months from R10 (for me that would be in two weeks time).
Security, which constitutes of HIRV etc will be retracted and remain blank. Security is the last thing which is done after the eligibility is passed. So even if your eligibility is passed, unless the security is passed, you will not get the PPR.

In most cases Security takes only 1-2 months, but for applicants who get stuck in SS, it takes longer.

Hello,

FSW- Outland
AOR March 19
Medical March 26
Single applicant

So my background check has been at “your Application is in progress. We will inform you when we start ur background check” ever since my medical passed. It’s been 100 days from AOR.

“We are reviewing your eligibility criteria” has not changed either

I’m guessing it’s ip1. But isn’t ip1 supposed to be quick?

Recently an agent informed me that my application was sent to CPC Ottawa. All documents are in place.

So I’m guessing this is NA2

But no change in status.

Is it possible that my application is progressing but they have not updated the status?

My ip1 has been soo long! Ip2 is supposed to be longer. Is my application delayed?
I read in few forums that for few Ip2 never happens and they jump to PPR

I’m confused. Should I worry?
The MyCIC status are not an accurate way of knowing what is happening or at what stage your application is at. All application go through the following stages:

R10 (completeness check)
Criminality
Medicals
Eligibility
Security

There are the stages as per the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA)

There is no stage as IP1 or IP in the law. This is speculation based on the status in MyCIC Account.

IF you want to know what stage your application is at, then you should request GCMS notes, or else you can wait it out.

@legalfalcon ,I was charged with driving dangerously and causing hurt to a person around 1 year back.
Recently, the complainant has agreed for settlement and to withdraw the case.
The charge sheet was filed and the charges on the FIR(First Information Report) were quashed by the Court based on the settlement between both of us without any penalty or fines.
I have got the ITA and while filing the application, the question in personal information asks "have you ever been convicted,Charged with any criminal proceeding ?"
1.What should I answer ? I already have applied for PCC and got clear report without anything about the charges being mentioned in it.
2.Will there be any delay in processing of my application if I write yes ?
3.Any possibility that CIC will reject my application even on being acquitted.

Hello @legalfalcon,

Is there any way of finding out if my notes have been generated already? I was hoping that GCMS will give a much required push to my application, but my file is still in IP1 and absolutely no movement at all.

Is this normal? Should I resubmit an application for GCMS? Please help me.

Thanks,
GCMS notes are releases after 30 days from the day they are requested. So wait for them. Once you get them you will know what stage your application is at and then you can order more sets.

I wrote a post on this issue see: https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/march-2018-aor-join-here.546504/page-155#post-7032535

Hi @legalfalcon

Want to know about POF. Is it necessary to maintain the amount continuously until the PPR or is it alright to remove it for sometime after AOR and then again keep it back? I am suddenly in a need of some fund and wanted to know if I can explore that option.
You have to main the amount until your application is approved. You can withdraw the amount only if you can put is somewhere where you have access to it readily.

See

I had sent the NOC change request on June 11th and had to resend it to them today. And I received a very vague response.

Dear Madam/Sir,

Thank you for your email correspondence to the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) mailbox.

After you log into the OINP e-Filing Portal with your ONe-key ID and password, you will be able to check the status of submitted applications on your main page under the ‘Status’ column.

We hope this information will assist you. Once again, thank you for your email and for your interest in the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program.

They never acknowledged my request for NOC change. Can you help me with the next best course of action I should take?
This is how they usually respond. Its always vague. Instead try calling them, or send another written reply and ask for a confirmation.

1. I do not want to change it. It is just that, do I need to mention how I am known, that is how my last name and surname are written.

2. I selected deceased, but still the country of residence is mandatory.

1. I am not sure what you are asking then.

2. The country of residence where the person lived before being deceased is mandatory /

Hello @legalfalcon,
Quick question here,
I received an email from cic that my ECA from WES was not available online to them or they were not added as a recipient. And that i have to submit them electronical.
I went to WES website and sent cic a electronic copy rightway.
After that u called WES just to confirm but they told me the evaluation i have done was for educational institutions not for cic. And that i will have to order a new ECA report. I told them i already sent the copy throught online accout and it has also been delivered. They said they can’t do anything abput that but the evaluation woll probably be exactly same just a headline will be change from evaluation for academic institutions to eca for cic. And it will take 20 days.
So do you think i should send case specific enquiy about this or let it be like that one wes completes the evaluation they will send a new report again to cic.

Thanks in advance.

No, its is always the analyst. IF the analyst has any concerns, it will be review required, which is an indication to the officer to review it and make a decision.
Thanks @legalfalcon... even though the analyst didn’t give a reason for the review required request, would it be a proactive approach to send updated experience letters from my employers by raising a CSE? The previous letters, while they included the wordings in the NOC 2161, they didn’t go into details... like the specific projects that I worked on when I applied statistical theories or provided techical guidance in statistical theory applications...It was more of an overview of my duties and my responsibilities.

1. I am not sure what you are asking then.

2. The country of residence where the person lived before being deceased is mandatory /
1. The PR application ask for whether I am know by any other name,

(i) as per Passport - AAAA BBBB CCCC (I have mentioned in same order in PR application)
(ii) but actually it should be - CCCC BBBB AAAA (so I am mentioning this as well, for any other names, not difference in spellings or name, it is just the order of names)

Is it required? Will this be okey?

Hope this clarifies. Sorry for the trouble and thanks for the reply for the second question.

@legalfalcon,

With regard to address history, I have been in one address until my marriage (my home). After that we stayed at a rented place for 1 year. Then after that we came back to my home again. So how do I enter the address in the application,

1. Enter my home address as Current Address, and give my birth date as starting date,
2. Enter the rented place address as old address, and give start and end date. These dates will clash with the above address dates.

Will this be okey?
