Hello everyone,

I am seeking an advice whether I should apply with my wife as accompanying or not, here are my “specs”:

Education : Bachelor’s degree if assessed by WES.
NOC : 2281 (4 years and 8 month of experience)

If my degree is assessed as a Bachelor I will have a CRS of 467 alone, with my wife I will be on 443, knowing that I will lose 5 points on august which will bring me respectively to 462 and 438.

My wife does not have any valid education and cannot take French or English tests, so she can’t bring me any additional points.

Is there a PNP with enough chances that can boost my scores and be able to go with my wife, or I just have to accept to apply alone and then bring her later on.

Please advise guys, thanks.

Include your spouse in your profile, because at this score you will get a PNP from Ontario for sure. Just remember, whenever Ontario opens HCP, create profile 3-4 days before that, so that they can pick your profile.

Even if my score gets to 438 ? How can I know that Ontario will open any soon ? any links ? thanks a ton.

Disregard this. OINP do not announce beforehand when they send out invitations and to what CRS range, hence it's impossible to create a profile "3-4 days" in advance. In additional you are at a disadvantage when it comes to tie break rule if you withdraw and recreate your profile.

If I were OP, I'd wait for a few more draws as it's likely the cutoff will come down to 443 again.
If not, at current rate, 460+ will still guarantee you an invite.

My concern is that nothing guarantees me that the scores won't go crazy again (500+ for example), and that on august I will lose another 5 points due to my age (33 atm, 34 on august) and I want to apply as soon as possible.

If you and your spouse can live with the fact that you'll be separated for a year or so, then go ahead. It's a decision you'll have to make yourselves.

Hey Abdelilah,
What diplomats you have? Because if your credentials are assessed as a masters degree or at least 2 diplomats then you'll most probably have the score to obtain an ITA.
For PNP I have seen many got a nomination at score less than 400

I have a bachelor degree, I cannot qualify for 2 diplomas since my second is not recognised by WES, I am still waiting for my assessment.
By the way if I have an ITA what answer should I give for "why your wife is not accompanying" ? thanks.

They do post that HCP is opening soon. That is the trigger point. We do that frequently.

I am a bit lost, because I've seen in forums that you need valid reasons for not taking your wife with you, at the same time a low score won't enable one to take his spouse with him ??? Thanks for your answers
