Hi,

I am new to this forum and would appreciate if someone could give me some kind of guidance regarding my below query.

Before I get to the main query. Just wanted to share a brief background on our Express Entry (EE) progress. Myself and my wife started the process in April 2018. We had sent our qualifications for evaluation to WES in May 2018 and taken IELTS classes in the same month. We gave our IELTS exam in the start of June and received our results just last week with my wife getting 8.5 band and myself 7.5 band. Also to just let you know that my wife is the main applicant for EE. I have received my WES evaluation report at the start of this week and my wife's is expected to be received by end of this week. We plan to file our EE by this coming Friday. As last checked by us on the CRS calculator we are getting a score of 475.

Now to my query. Well my wife is 3 month pregnant and I wanted to know if she should get the X-ray done assuming we get our ITA by next months draw and go for our medicals in August 2018. Also assuming that we provide all the requested documents and proceed with all the medical for myself and my wife (including the X-ray). Will CIC process our application and not hold it back due to my wife being pregnant. ( We will be declaring her pregnancy in the post ITA anyways). As I have read in a few posts that they advise the applicant to wait till the baby is born and then advise to add the baby in the application and provide further documents and medical related to the baby.

Doctors will not perform X-Ray, since she is already pregnant. You can mention in LOE about her pregnancy. There is no problem in that.
Once the baby arrives, you can inform CIC about it and they will add the kid in your application. You will need your kid's Passport and Birth Certificate.

Thank you. Mr. Preet Singh & Mayur. But the thing is I checked with the panel doctor here and he has advised me that my wife can get her X-ray done. Also we where thinking about having the baby in Canda. As she will not be due until December 2018. I am fine with bearing the costs, as we might not get govt health insurance coverage from day one of landing. I am also well aware that the costs can be quite high.

If complete medicals including x rays can be done then you dont have to wait till you have a baby. you can submit the medicals and they will be passed.

If Doctor is ready, then you can go ahead. In India they give a lead plate to cover stomach while they take X-ray, also few Doctors don't recommend it. So do take an informed decision.

It’s better not to do X-ray for pregnant, my wife also expecting and She has done medical without X-ray . Tell doc while u do medical for her, they ll tell what to do next.
