Background check

Hi Friends!

Once again you find me here asking more questions haha, but I love how everyone responds quickly and how everyone is so helpful! So after months of waiting for Mexico processing center to send me the first response they emailed me yesterday yayyy! They are asking for my background check which I am starting already.

For those who have experience with this processing center... Do you happen to know what happens next? I hope it is positive, My husband is already in Canada and I am still in my country and I can't wait to be reunited with him but in the right way, with papers in my favor. I would appreciate your help!

We were processed through mexico. Our background check took 8 months. We heard absolutely nothing throughout those 8 months. They may ask for more docs or it will be a waiting game until perhaps an interview or ppr

I already have my visitors Visa and I am just planning to stay 3 months and come back to my country. I am just making sure this is not something that will make my process be denied. I am not planning on Working at all I will just be with him.

A visit will have no effect on your PR app.

Hi! it was a little complicated, I had to go through a second immigration officer who was asking more detailed questions. I will suggest you have a returned ticket booked and you respond with a lot of confidence your questions. I am just visiting my husband for 3 months and not doing anything else than spending time with him and his family but the officers want to make sure you aren't doing anything illegal. I would say just go there with confidence and tell the truth. Also if you had places and things you want to visit and explore in Canada take that list. The officers will for sure know you are just a tourist.
