i need an advise on this, I don't think IOM is doing legit medical examination.
here is the story, my father has a hard by pass surgery in year 2005, since then he is medically fit and not having any issues. he is been doing regular visits to his family doctor.
i have applied Super Visa for my Mom and Dad, i got medical examination instruction from CIC, I contacted IOM Karachi and while i was on call with them booking an appointment I got instruction that they both should bring some documents and Rs. 11200 Cash.
when i dropped my parents to the IOM Karachi they have asked me to leave and give some extra money just in case if additional tests are required.
they advised my parents to go for ECG and consult the physician referred by IOM, we had ECG and they charged Rs. 950 and later my parents paid 3000 for echo cardiograph, 2000 for heart physician consultation and 4000 for report preparation for IOM.
this is not just done, my father received a call from IOM again that he need to undergo sputum test which at first place they said will cost Rs. 5000 but at the time of appointment they said its Rs 6000, furthermore during sputum test they have advised my father that he needs to go for a blood test which he already had before but they said it has to be done again. they asked Rs 4000 for this.
just so you know that all these charges are being paid to them and we have a receipt for this however we didn't received any written instructions for any subsequent test.
i believe IOM is just making it up and making money at every step. the initial fees of 11200 (5600 per person) was written on their notice board with Rs 400 for subsequent follow-up however they are keep charging.
please advise how we can get over with this Crap.
