And at long last I think its PPR!

A few things I'm trying to understand though;

• Letter is dated today 20.06.2018
• There is a May 1st Date , I don't understand what about since its in the past. three different deadline dates!
  • YOUR IMMIGRANT VISA(S) APPEAR(S) READY TO BE ISSUED, IF THERE HAS BEEN NO CHANGE IN YOUR FAMILY CONFIGURATION. IF THERE HAVE BEEN ANY CHANGES, PLEASE CONTACT OUR OFFICE BEFORE PROCEEDING. PASSPORT(S) As of May 1, 2018, all original documents, including passports, must be submitted via the VAC. Please see: http://www.vfsglobal.ca/canada/ and follow the instructions under the “Passport Transmission Services” section.
  • **** PLEASE NOTE: Failure to provide the required travel document(s) within 15 days from the date of this letter will lead us to conclude that you are no longer interested in immigrating to Canada and your application will be refused based on the information that is available in your file.
    
  • THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION AND DOCUMENTATION WILL BE REQUIRED TO ISSUE YOUR VISA:  MY UCI - MY NAME  > Passport/Travel Doc (Multiple): Passport/Travel Document (Multiple) This must be received at this office by: 2018/07/21  ☐ UPDATED FAMILY INFORMATION: You must advise us of any change in your marital status or family composition. All family members must be listed on your IMM008 and Additional Family Information forms. Failure to comply may result in a delay in the issuance of your visa.
• Also my spouse bears a passport from a visa exempt country... will they need to submit passports too? if yes, they are travelling at the moment and cannot submit passport by any of the deadlines above...how do i get a submission extension.

Yeah seems confusing..I suppose May 1st just means that since then all documents have to go through VAC
Just stick with the 15 days deadline I suppose...and ask VO directly for a submission extension for spouse

You really do need to investigate properly as regards extension !!! I submitted my passports yesterday and it clearly statesman that letter " on no account would an extension be granted". . You might also consider having your family send their passports to you asap to you can put them all in .

I know this "lingo" might seem strange..lool

As far as I understand ghost update might mean:

1- When you log on to your CIC account you find that your overall application status says "updated" even though you have not received any emails nor are there any visible updates in the lines inside your application (eligibility, background checks etc.)

2- when you log on you find that your overall status says updateb AND there is an update in one of the lines BUT you still have not received an email informing you of the update

BASICALLY it just means that there is some kind of movement or progress in the application which may (or may not in some cases) indicate an imminent step forward in the application

Hi all!

I just received a letter from CIC asking me to submit my passport to the London Visa Office.

I am a bit confused though as to exactly what I am supposed to do. I am an Indian citizen currently living in Norway.

In the letter, it says that I need to first figure out if I need a visa to travel to Canada and to check that I must goto this link -- http://www.cic.gc.ca/ENGLISH/visit/visas.asp -- and it seems like I do need a visa to travel to Canada.

Then it says that I need to goto the VFSglobal website to find out how to submit my passport.

So, am I supposed to go through VFS and pay the fees or am I reading it wrong? Also, how long does it take to get the passport back as I have travel plans on July 15th.

An email sent to me by LVO dated 14Jun2018 am expecting that the interview will be held in Abu Dhabi as well.
