So, I came to Canada in 2014 with a 4 year study permit for my undergraduate program. I was a full time student for first two years and then decided to take year off due to anxiety issues. Now I am back in university and was registered as a full time student last semester (Winter 2018). I also went to my home country after my completing my semester last month (May 2018), and was successfully able to re enter Canada.
Now since I have heard that if some takes a semester off, the university or college informs IRCC about this and they cancel the study permit. If thats the case, I wonder if they have cancel my study permit.
And if they have cancelled my study permit, then how was I able to re enter Canada just last month. The immigration officer just asked basic questions and thats it. He allowed me to enter.
I was also a full time student this very winter and had no issues in my enrollment. And I my study permit was cancelled why was not I inform about this and how was able to enroll in winter term?
Please help, I'd be much grateful for your advice.
