Hi,

I am an express entry application (FSW-O stream). My application is currently stuck in IP2. I am planning on getting married next month. I have a couple of queries.

1- Can I add my spouse-to-be in my application at this stage?
2- If yes, what documents will I need to prove my relationship with my spouse? I am based in Pakistan and we are planning on getting the legal paperwork done for the marriage and do the ceremony later. I have known my spouse-to-be for a couple of years. I have a lot of old pictures of us together. I also have Whatsapp conversations. Will a marriage certificate, old pictures, Whatsapp conversations and other ID documents (e.g. driving license) enough?
3- If I fail to establish my relationship with the spouse-to-be, will IRCC reject the applications of both of us or just the spouse?

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

1. Yes.
2. If you get a marriage certificate, then you don't need anything else.
3. You should not fail to establish a relation, if you have the marriage certificate. But to answer your question, the entire application will be rejected.
You have to understand that only for common-law relationships, photos and additional documents are needed to prove the relation. For legal marriages, all you need is the marriage certificate.
