Hi guys,

I have more than 3 years of experience in IT field and now I am planning to quit my job and looking forward to work as a freelancer. But, I was wondering if it will affect my EE application in any form in future? As I said I already have 3+ years of work experience in the same field.

Please suggest!

Changing jobs or quitting won't affect your chances of pr as long as all the information you've provided to claim points is true and all documents are genuine.

If out of 3+ years of your experience, at least one job is for continuous 12 months under one NOC/employer, you are eligible to apply under Express Entry programs.

Thanks mate!

Yes, my first job was of the duration of 19 months, second one was of 6 months and the third one was of the 21 months. So overall 3+ years.

Your three years of work experience will get you the maximum points so you only need to provide proof for that. You can mention your freelance work in the personal history section while filling your application after ITA.
