I didn’t think it was a good idea that u submitted ur file immediately within 2 days of ITA ..
they provide 3 months time to gather all docs patiently ..!
Now u can use web form immediately n submit the documents missed with a letter of explanation if u want them to hold ur file
These hasty applications effectively wasted valuable ITAs and cost many other people the chance to move to Canada.

Selfish individuals hurting everyone.

Dislike.

Hi all, i m new here. I got a question. My cousin sister is citizen of Canada. And when filing my express entry profile i Showed her as my relative in canada and it added 15 poi ts to my profile. So i got ITA on 25 April draw. Now i heard that cousin is not valid as blood relative and so if i couldn't prove my claim my file could be blacklisted for next 5 years. So i need to ask if cousin is valid for blood relative points and weather i should go ahead and apply or let this ITA lapse and try again?

Thanks

Cousin doesn't count, your file will be rejected if without this 15 points, your total crs score falls below the tie break cut off score of the round of invitation you were invited under.
Your profile will also become ineligible if you fall below 67 eligiblity points without 5 adaptability points which you got by claiming having a Canadian citizen/PR sibling.

However you don't need to decline your ITA if you meet eligibility 67 points without 5 adaptability points and your total crs score without this 15 points are at or above the tie break crs score of the round of invitation you were invited under. In that case say 'No' to the question where system asks for Canadian relatives and write a Letter of Explanation for the same.

To understand about siblings crs points please read below-

Do you or your spouse or common law partner (if they will come with you to Canada) have at least one brother or sister living in Canada who is a citizen or permanent resident?

Note: to answer yes, the brother or sister must be:
  • 18 years old or older
  • related to you or your partner by blood, marriage, common-law partnership or adoption
  • have a parent in common with you or your partner
A brother or sister is related to you by:
  • blood (biological)
  • adoption
  • marriage (step-brother or step-sister)

For FSW eligibility 5 adaptability points-
Relatives in Canada
You, or if it applies, your spouse or common-law partner, have a relative:
  • living in Canada
  • 18 years or older and
  • a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
This relative must be a:
  • parent
  • grandparent
  • child
  • grandchild
  • child of a parent (sibling)
  • child of a grandparent (aunt or uncle)
  • grandchild of a parent (niece or nephew)

Thanks for such elaborate reply. It cleared many things, now i believe i m above 67 points without adaptability points and at that time my wife didn't appear for ielts. So now i m thinking of go ahead and apply in the same ita. But if those 15 points are deducted my points became 436 ad i got ita on 451. So can i update my profile if my wife also get 6 bands in ielts now.

Unfortunately you cannot apply with 436 crs points because 25th April cutoff was 441. Your recalculated crs score must be at or above 441 by meeting tie break rule. Fill out the eAPR form and include your spouse IELTS score then remove relative (dont remove before otherwise your profile will become ineligible and you will lose ITA) and click on preview score and also calculate manually by using crs point distribution chart. If it is above 441 then go ahead. Otherwise you need to decline this ITA and wait for another ITA with corrected crs.

But once the UTI generated and profile created doesn't it mean that ITA has already been accepted even if i did not upload any documents there. Is it still possible to decline ITA and try again with different crs? I got all necessary docs but haven't uploaded them yet. Pls explain me in bit more detail about eAPR editing process. Because i thought once ITA recieved then the info upon wgich the ITA is based couldn't be changed or edited. Thanks
