I see the processing time for Work permit is 84 - 124 days depending on online and paper applications.

I would like to get clarity on one thing. If we have positive LMIA and offer letter from employer, can we apply for visitor visa( which can be issued in 24 days) and then apply for work permit @ the border of canada as I heard @ the border the work permit will be issued within 24 hrs.

Please provide your inputs if my understanding is wrong.

Since you require a TRV to enter Canada, you cannot apply for a work permit at the border. You'll have to wait for either an online or paper application to be processed.

Could you please let me know in which case I can apply for Work Permit @ the border.

I heard that TRV can be converted to Work permit @ border.
