Holding the Citizenship process after clearing the Test

Me and My family Citizenship applications are currently processed. It is IN Process state. Question is after I complete the Test, Can i request CIC to hold further process like Oath ceremony and issue of Citizenship Certificate due to scheduled plan to visit abroad ? I heard this is common and viable but.. is there a limit on the time period that CIC only allow and expect you to be back by that or is the time to hold application based on your request ?

They are not going to hold the ceremony for you, but if you cannot make it, they will reschedule at a later date.

tell the officer you will be traveling so hold my dm and OUTH until I come back.

In September 2018.. During the test, interview, i guess i can request that to hold the DM till our come back to Canada.
