Hello everybody.
I posted this on another thread (the wrong one apparently). I hope someone can help me
So my girlfriend and i both are in Toronto under a working holiday visa. we asked these visas individually when we were in uk.
Hers is a year one and mine a two years (because I am French). Her visa and working permit will expire in October.
I am wondering is there any way that she can stay a year more like me?
We look at the options and being sponsored by her job seems the only answer to extend her visa. But they won't do it. Can I be her sponsor if i am not a permanent citizen myself??

We live together and have been together for almost two years now does it count as common law?
thank you for your help!!

1. If you can prove that you are a common/law couple and have lived together for 1 year and have other proof that you are a couple, then she could apply for a spousal open work permit, if you are working in a NOC A, B or O job. You would need from your employer a letter outlining your duties and pay as well has 3 pay stubs when she submits her application for an open work permit. Note that she would have to stop working once her IEC work permit expires, if she hasn't received the spousal work permit. Note if your job is not NOC A, B or O then she can only apply for an extension as a visitor, unless she receives a LMIA from an employer.
