While creating a profile at Express Entry; I face a question which asks:

Do you have a certificate of qualification from a Canadian province or territory?

I went through the training of security guard and have the license which is valid anywhere in Canada. I'm working as security guard since a few months now.

Does this count under express entry?


Or should my answer still be "No" when asked "Do you have a certificate of qualification from a Canadian province or territory?"

You are only entitled for those points if your NOC falls in any of these:

• major group 72: industrial, electrical and construction workers
• major group 73: maintenance and equipment operation workers
• major group 82: supervisors and technical workers in natural resources, agriculture and related production
• major group 92: processing, manufacturing and utilities supervisors and central control operators
• minor group 632: chefs and cooks
• minor group 633: butchers and bakers

You can’t claim points it. Not a trade that requires post secondary edcuation and apprenticeship.
