Ah I'm sorry man. It did seem so close yesterday. But I did get the impression that one's profile should be from 2018 nomination, so you might have to create a new profile to make yourself eligible for the draws. Do you have a birthday or something coming up? I would wait it out for the next 2-3 draws, and if not, recreate your profile. But it sure is a tough situation!
My birthday is Nov . I think ill wait it out til it's expired and then recreate to look into the province option. I still have faith it will go low just really slowly

Jeez I created my profile 28TH Dec 2017  if I look to recreate now I'll definitely miss the tie breaker if my score call
what is your CRS score now ? The reason the date of Express Entry creation is important is:
  • the express entry is valid only for 12 months: Eg: Jan-Dec
  • the provincial nomination process can take 6-8 months: E.g.: Jan to Aug
  • Nomination & ITA in: Sep
  • File PR application within 90 days: before Dec end
that will be how the timelines will look, and incase of any additional delays at any stage then your Express Entry profile will expire before you apply for PR.

To be safe, provincial application must be closest to Express Entry profile creation for everything to have enough breathing space to accommodate delays.

that will be bet on two things:
  1. Lesser applicants/interest for Canadian Immigration
  2. Canada increasing the number of EE immigrants per draw

My score is 440. So question:
isn't the prov app done to get 600 extra points? So when this is done can't I just recreate the ee then?

Disclaimer : my internet is really slow right now so I admit I didn't check the pnp application and how to do it so maybe when I look at this I'll understand it more

I received a NOI from Ontario on 26 Feb. I was never told by my lawyer, but came to know day before yesterday that they did submitted a parallel application to OINP and EE early April

I don’t pay for it because my org is footing the bill

I was like WTF just happened....
IMO this is what happened:
  • You cannot apply for Ontario Nomination, they need to invite you to apply for nomination
  • Ontario would have sent you/your representative an invite to apply (if your CRS is greater than 400 and/or you are in an NOC they urgently need)
  • You/representative would have responded to the Ontario Nomination invite
Either ways, Nice & GL !

the province nomination approval will mention your EE profile ID used while applying for Provincial nomination.. if your EE profile expires after nomination or before you can file your PR then you know how that is gonna turn out !

You cannot recreate the profile with same EE ID, you will need to create a new EE with a new EE ID

The provincial nomination will come into your current Express Entry profile

folks patience is the virtue of winners ...m at 433 till 12 July and after this would be 428 ...even I am hopeful n kind of sure to get ITA in next 6 months. ..I am paying price to start late so have to wait...n there is no harm in waiting...even one draw will change the whole stats....remember winners never quit n dreamers never give up...don't accept tour defeat untill you WIN....I have 750+ resource reports to me n I can not fulfil wish of everyone however I do consider who always fight with spirit.....
Cheers!!

Hello everyone,
I am wondering how hard it is to get CLB 5 in all 4 sections of TEF exam with 4 months of preparation at 20 hours/week from Scratch . My IELTS is maxed out so these 4 points from French will go long way for me. Also, can you point out some useful resources to learn French for non-native. TIA for your feedback.
Are you taking any lessons or are you studying by yourself? I don't want to say it's hard but it's going to be pretty challenging. Depending on how are you studying, how fast do you learn, and if you have a native speaker/instructor at hand, I believe you could probably get by and get CLB 5 for the listening and reading. Hard but probably doable. I would think otherwise for the writing and speaking.

4 months from scratch is not enough time for achieving a B1 level (intermediate), there's only so much you can learn, but if you fully immerse yourself (practice every day, listen to French, read, etc) it might me a fight worth fighting.

TEF starts very easy and gets harder as you progress, this could play in your favor if you get the first answers right.

NOC Code......
6235
I am going to share some more bad news. Was just looking at the data from open.canada. They now updated the Admission statistics up to April 2018. So in total 38,605 PR admission happened in the first four months of which PNP are 6475. So out of 74700 target for this year 32130 admission already done in just 4 months. So CIC is well on their way towards the 2018 Admission target for express entry. now if we get the average admission of 2018 for the first 4 months it is 8033 and at this rate they will end up with 96k Admission for 2018 under the three classes of express entry.

So this makes me believe that we are not going to see an increase in their activity and if anything we are going to see less frequent draw from now on. Remember last year, in order to control the flow they just did 2 draws in the whole of June and July. I think similar to that is going to happen very soon.

they work on monthly or quarterly targets basis the annual number of immigrants the have targeted. As such it will mostly be proportional except for times when they want to balance their work-load.

past statistics is not a yardstick to predict future/expectations or cut-off score. The increase or decrease in number of applicants above the current cut-off (approx 450) for canada is the only factor that will make a difference within a year, unless ofcourse the government increase the annual number of immigrants planned.
