Can I re-enter Canada with a Visitor Record?

I submitted my application to change my status from Student to Visitor in November 2017, when I was still in Canada.

Soon after that, I got a job offer overseas that I didn't expect. In January 2018 I left Canada by air to China and then German for family and work reasons. Since then, I've been living in Germany where I currently reside.

I tried to withdraw my application but was told by CIC that it's too late. In February 2018 I was granted a Visitor Record (despite that by that time I had already left Canada). It is valid until the end of 2018.

I don't have a VISA. Can I enter Canada with my Visitor Record during its valid time? Or do I have to apply for a VISA if I want to visit Canada?

Thank you!

Your visitor record is probably not relevant for your next entry into Canada. It was for use while you were in Canada. You'll have to apply for a new visa unless you are visa-exempt.

If you don't have a visa-exempt passport, you will need to apply for a visa/TRV to re-enter

Do you have a visa-exempt passport? If yes, you need to apply for an eTA linked to that passport.

If you do not hold a passport of a visa-exempt country, you need to apply for a TRV

If you don't have a study permit or a work permit, you must apply for a new TRV from outside Canada
And the another question is, should i stay in canada less than 6 months or more?
On my visitor record nothing mention about my stay in canada.
