It is good to know some people with laywers have been delayed; the cost of getting a lawyer wasn’t realistic to us especially as we had ready completed the paperwork and it certainly feels like it was a mistake not using one at this point (purely based on the people around me. Everyone I know who haven’t used lawyers have had the same timeline as myself; however the two people I know who did use one get their paperwork through in 3 1/2 months and 7 months. Others I know had 13, 12 and 14 months.)

It says on our file that it was sent to Vancouver “as per workshare agreement”; this was written on the notes I recieved from my local MP upon request. We are a fairly straight forward case (married for 2+ years with baby) and haven’t been informed anything is amiss so hopefully it is simply to ease Missassuagas workload.
You applied inland yes?

We did, yes
Inland processing time is right at 11-12 months in most cases. Outland applications are often processed faster. Outland applications move quickly at the beginning and then slow, whereas inland applications are the opposite. Has the medical or any of that been requested

Yes, police certificates etc were requested and returned in September and my medical was requested, completed and accepted mid April.
Fingers crossed I am at the end stretch now!

Hello everyone!

I am a canadian citizen sponsoring my wife who’s living abroad.

Should I (the sponsor) fill out question 2 part B of Supplementary Information imm 5562?

In the second question part A it says you (the princple applicant)

But in the second question part B it says your spouse or common law partner, does it mean that the SPONSER’s travel history should also be filled out in this part by the sponser?

One more question: Should we list ALL TRAVEL HISTORY since the age of 18 or the past 10 years? Every single trip?

Please help. Thank you

Hello,

I'm very new to this situation. Trying to read and understand it all.
I'm a Canadian citizen wanting to sponsor my soon to be husband from Croatia. (Married in a month). We were living in Dubai for 3 years and came to Croatia for the summer months. We obtained a PCC from Dubai before leaving but we were flight attendants and were never in the UAE consecutively for 3 years. (Would this cause any problems) I'm wondering if we should apply Inland or Outland. I understand I'll have to go to Canada to start the process but I would love for him to come with me versus staying in Croatia. From my understanding he can use an eTA up to 90 days to visit. Can he do this under the Outland application? What would be your best suggestion?

so, what I understand from couple of notes above, may be having an immigration consultant on your file can speed up the process ?

When I click on 'view submitted applications ' , it says 'no documents ' , no fees etc

Is it Normal?

Also I wasn't able to link OWP

I believe there's no Fiance' visa in Canada, unlike the US.
We had the same problem, but you guys are blessed because she can still come to you for a visit anytime.
anyhow, the only way for you to sponsor her is as spousal visa, that means you have to get married first and do inland or outland processing.
Inland if she is in Canada already and have enough time to process until the application gets approved (could be 12 months).
Outland is if you will indicate that she's in Europe. If you choose this, she can still go in and out of Canada since Visit Visa is not needed for her, but make sure that she's outside Canada when the Decision is made so that she can enter Canada with her PR.

Just sharing you the process from experience.
Hello,

I would like to sponsor my soon to be husband from Croatia. (EU) We are currently in Croatia and I'm wondering if it would be best to do Inland or Outland application. Would I be required to go to Canada to apply as a sponsor?

Please let me know based on your experience.

Thank you

Good day members , my in-land common-law application was submitted march 28th 2018 ,we got the confirmation and it's still in process ,my OWP app. was submitted too , we included my daughter as an dependent. But said she will be at a later date , in the time we submitted the application package my daughter came to Canada on her TRV and began school immediately, her mother from back home sent the IMM 5604 form signed with notary stamped.
How can I include my daughter in the application now since she is in Canada now in school ?
We paid for all the fees with OWP fees but not the dependent child $150 , since change of mind decided to make her come to Canada .

Another question with the application in process and the applicant can't leave Canada ,even going to the USA by driving across the border for 2 days and returning?
Anyone can help ?
