Hello guys, I have a somewhat unique situation here. I want to apply under sponsorship (family class). I'm married to my husband in Canada cause we are all males and cannot get married in our home country. But the country specific requirement requires a proof of marriage, which will be single. Do any of you know how to deal with this issue?

You just write a letter of explanation. IRCC will understand.

Good day members , my in-land common-law application was submitted march 28th 2018 ,we got the confirmation and it's still in process ,my OWP app. was submitted too , we included my daughter as an dependent. But said she will be at a later date , in the time we submitted the application package my daughter came to Canada on her TRV and began school immediately, her mother from back home sent the IMM 5604 form signed with notary stamped.
How can I include my daughter in the application now since she is in Canada now in school ?
We paid for all the fees with OWP fees but not the dependent child $150 , since change of mind decided to make her come to Canada .

Another question with the application in process and the applicant can't leave Canada ,even going to the USA by driving across the border for 2 days and returning?

Hi, I've been trying to link my application to my account and it's been imposible. Ive tried every combination possible but nothing seems to work. please HELP!

Couple questions:
1. The info they ask for (Last name, place of birth etc) is Sponsor info or sponsored person info?
2. I have a child in the application, but he's not coming to Canada, Does he count in the number of persons in our application?
3. I have read that for some people worked marking "Single" in the status, but we are married. Does that affect?
4. The Online User should be created for the Sponsor or Sponsored Person?

In a different subject, I already receive the letter from CIC to apply for Certificat de Selection du Quebec and I already applied, does someone knows if I have to notify CIC that I sent my application?

THANKS!!!!!

Hi everyone,

I am sponsoring my husband. I am submitting my employment details and all... but do I need to submit all of my husband's education and employment certificates. In schedule A background declaration form, they ask for applicant's education and employment history details. I have my husband's university degree but not his school and high school's certificates also I have proof for his most recent work experience but not before that.

What do I do? Please suggest!

Thank you!

You don’t need to submit any proofs of your husband’s education or work experience unless it’s in your country’s specific requirements.

Guys, silly question but I need suggestions :

I am putting up spousal case for my wife shortly. I was wondering, how much of our whatsapp chat, calling and emails records need to be shown in the file to prove our relationship.

We have known each other for 4 months and then got married, I have bunch of call and chat records of before and after conversations with her.

What is the appropriate amount of content should I be showing ?

Like total of 20 pages / 40 pages / 50 pages ?

One my buddy put almost 100 pages of chat and call records.

Would really appreciate the response.

Thanks in advance :)

Follow the document checklist. Maximum 10 pages of communication proofs.

I am getting increasingly frustrated with our timescales. We are now on 11 months and haven’t heard anything for quite some time. Looking on ECAS, CIC and recieving notes from our local MP as well as applying for our GCMS paperwork - it all shows that my husband is yet to even be assessed as a sponsor let alone me as a sponsored person; our file was sent to Vancoucer (even though we are Ontario) and all in our it feels like our file hasn’t even been looked at. On the other hand; my sister in law applied 4 months AFTER us, however used an immigration lawyer, and has today recieved her landing documentation all within 7/8 months whilst residing in Canada thr entire time (something we were told we couldn’t do with an outland submission, thus forcing us to do an inland submission). They say the timeframes should be the same for both inland & outland aa well as lawyer & no lawyer, so what gives?

Firstly, they do not promise any timelines. They expected to process 80% of straightforward cases in 12 months, although it could be less or more.

Having a lawyer has no impact, and in my case actually significantly slowed things down.

In any case, it sounds like something is off with your file. If it was sent to Vancouver, I wonder if they have concerns about your application. Could that be the case?

It is good to know some people with laywers have been delayed; the cost of getting a lawyer wasn’t realistic to us especially as we had ready completed the paperwork and it certainly feels like it was a mistake not using one at this point (purely based on the people around me. Everyone I know who haven’t used lawyers have had the same timeline as myself; however the two people I know who did use one get their paperwork through in 3 1/2 months and 7 months. Others I know had 13, 12 and 14 months.)

It says on our file that it was sent to Vancouver “as per workshare agreement”; this was written on the notes I recieved from my local MP upon request. We are a fairly straight forward case (married for 2+ years with baby) and haven’t been informed anything is amiss so hopefully it is simply to ease Missassuagas workload.
