Hi guys,

I am already in the pool as primary applicant with my wife as secondary. Here are the details:

Total Points: 433

CRS Human Capital: 95

CRS: Human Capital: Level of Education: 112

CRS Human Capital: First official Language proficiency: 125

CRS Human Capital: Second Official Language Proficiency: 0

CRS - Human Capital - Canadian Work Experience: 0

CRS - Spouse - Level of Education: 10

CRS - Spouse - First Official Language Proficiency: 16

CRS - Spouse - Canadian Work Experience: 0

CRS - Skill Transferability – Education: 25

CRS - Skill Transferability - Foreign Work Experience: 50

My total work experience amounts to 7.58 years in the last 10 years, with the balance where I have gaps coz I had to work jobs that were inconsistent and I do not have letters or documents to show for.

My Wifes total work experience in the last 10 years amounts to 9 years or so.

My Ielts score is L:8.5, R:8.0, W:7.0, S:8 and My wifes ielts score is L:7, R:8, W:6.5, S:8.5.

I created another profile with the same exact dates and information, however, in that I put in the missing experiences as well, but at the end, that did not increase the points at all.

Now I am confused and very lost at what to do to increase points. I even checked in the other profile by increasing my wife’s Ielts score, and unless it is a massive increase in those(which will not be possible) the points aren’t increasing by much and the max they came to were 435.

Can somebody help, how do I increase my score. I don’t think that the draw Is going to come so low to 433 even as currently it is going at 440.?

Not sure why, but you are losing 25 points in skill transferability education. With your ielts score it should be 50. Do you have a masters?

You cannot increase any points through work experience, you're already getting maximum for that. In IELTS, you can increase 3 points if you can get 7.5 in W keeping others same. Your wife can increase 4 points by getting 8 in L and 7 in W, keeping the other two at least at 7. These will take your score to 440.
Otherwise, if you can get a 1-year diploma from a recognized institution that will increase your Level of Education by 7 points and also increase Skill Transferability - Education by 25 points, which would surely get you an ITA in the next draw after that :)

For getting 50 points in that section, candidate requires at least 2 graduate degree/diploma or Masters along with CLB9 in IELTS. I think he has a single Bachelors degree looking at his Level of Education points.

No I dont have a masters. I only have a bachelors degree, however, my wife has a masters, i believe she is getting the full score on that.

I do have another diploma that i did but its not in the same field and its not even full time. and its not accredited by WES. so i dont think thatll work either.

Noted about the IELTS points, however, I am not sure if my wife will be able to score that. Though we will discuss and see feasibility. However, getting a 1 year diploma will be a hectic task as it will take an entire year, as well as again getting it accredited from WES will take further time.
Or is it even possible if i enroll in a 1 year diploma now and that can count as current ongoing course.???

Ongoing course will not be evaluated by WES. You'll have to finish the course and at least produce a provisional Diploma as far as I know.

I think your wife is close to clb9 with some practise. maybe she can take ielts and be the primary applicant. Your score will be up 25 points.
We have created another profile as well with my wife as primary applicant, in that the total CRS score is 406.

That's because your wife does not have CLB9 in IELTS. As I mentioned, she needs to score 8 in Listening and 7 in all others in IELTS to get CLB9. That will cause your score to jump by 50 (skill transferability) + 14 (Language proficiency) = 64 points

Ah Now i understand. So she needs to score 8 in listening 7 in all others and primary applicant will be her. then 406+39 points that should bring us to 445.
That sounds like a plan and the only option.
Thanks

Okay. So guys here is what i did.
Just to see how much of a difference it would make i tweaked my wife's IELTS score. I made Listening to 8 and Writing to 7. She already has Speaking as 8.5 andn Reading as 8.
Here it is comparison where the increase happened:
CRS Human Capital First official Language Proficiency - Increased from 102 to 122
CRS Transferability Skill Education - Increased from 25 to 50
CRS Transferbility Foreign Work Experience - Increased from 25 to 50.
I guess this is the only way to go ahead as this is bringing the total score to 476.

Yeah, that's the best case scenario for you. But you'll not be able to combine section scores across different IELTS attempts, so your wife will need to get at least 7 each in S and R, along with the 8 in L and 7 in W :)

Yeah yeah I understand we won't be able to combine them. She will have to get this score all over again.
We are just hoping she gets this score as she will lose points after August as she will turn 30. And it'll mean loss of 10 points.
