Ontario Photo Card without giving up my New York Drivers license?

I'd like the Ontario Photo card during my stay on a temporary work permit.

As it clearly states, you can't get one because you have a driver's licence. You will need to exchange your US licence for an Ontario licence.

Thanks for the response, though it is not clear. The website does not specify whether you must not have a Canadian license or if you must not have a license worldwide.

It is clear by the fact that there is no specification. If it was only Canada, it would state that.

My relatives had to surrender their foreign driver’s licenses to get an Ontario Photo Card.
