just got my oath done in ottawa 3 hours ago. Finally a citizen.
They took my PR card and made an announcement to everyone that canadian passports can be applied on Tuesday.
Ceremony was pretty good. Was a carnival atmosphere. Lots of cheering and stuff when people collected their Citizenship certificates from the judge.
Dont get frustrated guys. The wait makes it worth it.

Sent my application on October 26, 2017 and received citizenship on June 01, 2018. All in all, 7 months 7 days.

So, I just checked my ECAS like 10 minutes ago and I am so happy to share with you my VERY VERY GOOD NEWS.
Here is what my ECAS says, this is a family app with myself and spouse only. Our child is already a Canadian.

1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on October 20, 2017.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on December 21, 2018.
3. We started processing your application on January 04, 2018.
4. We sent you a notice on May 31, 2018 to appear and take the oath of citizenship at the citizenship ceremony to be held on July 30, 2018 at 1:30 PM. The notice you will receive will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.

So, here's the thing. Please re-read number 4. We NEVER had our test yet, so what we are actually expecting and waiting for is our Test Invite for roughly 5 months now after our app is IP since January 4, but both of our ECAS show that we have to appear and take an oath of citizenship... already??? Maybe, there is a mistake here.

Does someone have the same experience?. I checked my email and I did not receive anything, even in my junk/spam folder. I am so excited what the actual letter in the mail says. If it is for a test or oath invite. Well if it is for an oath already, we would be very much happy to appear, haha.

Sometimes they schedule Test And Oath the same day according to the area where you live.
