Hi,

Is it possible to apply for PR without the need of a lawyer? I mean to correctly complete EE profile, get the right documents and match the NOC correctly? Anyone ever done that?
I am going to apply soon. The process seems to be pretty straight forward, and all I really need is to paraphrase my NOC duties so they would match the description properly. Is it really costly to do so?

Unless you have complicated background that could have legal implications, in which case you might want to consult with an immigration lawyer. If not, then you can do it all by yourself, no need for a consultant or lawyer. As you said yourself, the process is very straightforward.

As mentionned by contact front above. I personnally don't think it's necessary when you have a simple case.

Yes possible with the help of this forum to help with queries.

Supplementary Application Costs:
Police Certificate e.g. UK - £45 (C$80) plus postage (possibly multiple countries dependant on residence history)
Medical Examination - C$225 plus blood, urine and chest x-ray and travel costs
Photos circa - C$20
Educational Verication - WES C$200 plus postage (C$7 to C$25) plus University/College transcript provision costs.
Postage Costs - Allow for 2 registered mail envelopes for passport request (PPR) circa C$25
Landing Costs - Allow for a flagpole border crossing or inland landing by interview at IRCC office. Cost obviously depends on distance from a border or office and how quickly you want to do it. I landed on return from a vacation.

Application Costs:
The IRCC processing fees - C$550
THe IRCC PR fees - C$490

Dependant on individual situation - BOWP application C$255 (to bridge between existing visa and PR approval)

Cost me about C$2100 in all.

Hi All, I have few questions bothering me so much. Any suggestions would be really appreciated.

1. I have my profile expiring in a week, though I have not received ITA or anything but I am wondering if it is possible to create a new profile under the existing user login or do I have to create a new profile altogether?

2. And if by any chance my points are above the next draw will the effective date of my profile affect the selection?

1. You should be able to use the same online account to create a new profile. You have to start a completely new profile.
This link might help http://www.cic.gc.ca/English/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=1164&top=29
2. Since you are creating a new profile the date/time on which the profile is activated could be used if a tie break decision is applied in any EE draw.
