Hi All,

Yesterday I received an email from IRCC Etobicoke asking me to appear for an interview. I am not clear about the exact purpose of receiving this email. It does not clearly indicate the PR status whether approved or not. However, I am confused because it says 'Permanent Resident Landing Interview'. They have also asked me to bring along passport, photographs as per PR card specifications, SIN number (to update the number to permanent resident status) and pay RPRF fee if not already did. (I have paid already).

None of my friends who have PR have gone through such a route, no one seems to have received such an email from IRCC Etobicoke.

Has any one of you experienced this situation before? What does it imply about my PR application status?

Thanks for any help :)

Congratulations man......It obviously means your application is approved. Just go with all the required documents. And for backup, also go with evidence of all documents you submitted during your application (just precautionary) if you can.

No sweat......you are now a permanent resident of Canada. Congratulations!!!!

please keep us updated regarding your interview, congrats!

Mine is IP1 since April 23. What is ghost update?

On your profile it shows 'updated' with no change on my detailed status page.

Based on the trends in the recent past it is safe to assume that for FSW-O folks if you do not receive the PPR mail within 70 days from AOR date then your VO is not Ottawa .

I have been trying to find where my application is being processed. dropped an email to "cpc-ctd-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca", no response yet.
Raised a query in cic website, no response yet for this too. Has anyone had any luck finding their visa office ?

I believe you can easily find out your visa office here https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...-ircc/offices/international-visa-offices.html. Dont wait for response since they will not reply any email asking about visa office (you can see in automatic email received from them after sending them an email). Btw, if your application has been processed within 6 months, I think the ony thing you can do is waiting as it hasn't cross the normal processing time yet.
