Its something for which many of our cases got rejected. I will dig further to analyze it.
As DelPiero07 said, there are exceptions.
If employment requirement specifies an education credential "are required" then you need to have that qualification. If they mention "may require" or "usually required" then it is optional.
Certain professions need minimum qualification such as medical docors, dentists, architects, engineers etc. and noc employment requirement will clearly mention those degrees are required!

Hi, Mr. Preetsingh and others, I've got mixed opinions and answers and hence nothing conclusive. I really don't want to risk my chances so if any one can conclusively help me with this it'll be great! Any other way to find this out? I think NOC0111 can also work but on my appointment and resignation letter my designation is "audit associate". Would that be a problem?

You are reading a wrong manual. This update is or was valid only for following profiles:

On or before December 31, 2014 (pre-Express Entry)
Hello @mr.preetsingh .. Does this means while applying under a particular NOC we need to fulfill employment requirements. If yes, my NOC 1111 has employment requirements as follows:-
"
Employment requirements
  • Chartered professional accountants, chartered accountants (CPA, CA) require a university degree and Completion of a professional training program approved by a provincial Institute of Chartered Accountants and, depending on the province, either two years or 30 months of on-the-job training and Membership in a provincial Institute of Chartered Accountants upon successful completion of the Uniform Evaluation (UFE)."
Now, in this case whether education required is of one's home country or of Canada? As I have done Chartered Accountancy in India but not a Canadian CPA degree.
Please advise. Thanks.

No, education can be from India. By the way, you said, you are a government employee. Now you are asking for CA.

@abhi16691
I wanted to follow up on your application status but since you stated that you still still waiting on the PR I would highly appreciate if you could send me your experience letter or at least the job duties stated by you since I have the exact same job role

Hi All,

I understand the whole PR process becomes really taxing if there is a lack of clarity on any aspect. This post is wrt to the NOC code to be chosen.

I myself was in doubts as to how to go about it as my duties matched(closely) NOC 1111 but I ain't a certified accountant or an auditor but I still went ahead with it. I read a lot about it on the internet but there were always mixed opinions and i was in doubt till the last day. A lot of scruplous consultants would wash your brain, scare the f**k out of you that it won't work but It did work for me.

I got my PPR golden email recently. So this post is to help all the folks sailing in the same boat.

Disclaimer: It worked for me and this post is just a shout out. Please do your own homework and research. Things with IRCC aren't predictable. At the end every case is dealt with, differently. In no way this post guarantees anything to any one.

@Tuyam I'm traveling. My experience letter/job duties were a very close match to the ones mentioned on the IRCC website. You can get a framework from there.

Sounds great, Congratulations on receiving PPR. Were you able to get the duties on the company's letterhead and also how many duties did you mention on the reference letter?
