I have urgency now, I have to leave Canada but my family members passports are expired. I do not want to renew their current passports and later again apply for Canadian Passport which will cost me double. How I contact them at this moment now...Web form is useless. They should keep some way for urgent situation like myself while you are in final stage waiting for infinite . Every applicant's scenario is not same.

The fact that you want to travel is not considered urgent by CIC’s standards.
You are considered within the timeline that they have given if you haven’t crossed the 12 month mark.
As far as CIC is concerned, you can travel with your valid PR, which is what I did during the March break.
As the saying goes, “What you can’t cure, you must endure”.

Did you also go through the PR process? If so and you are still complaining and wondering about the process - i have no pity for you. Everyone with half a brain has figured it out that there is no rhyme or reason to the process. It depends on the location, persons application and mainly - which officer your file happens to end up in front of. Give up with the self pity, its embarrassing, use your head and enjoy the summer.

That's a strong response for someone who should be celebrating after getting an Oath invite!

Congrats on your Oath invite...and just as you have the right to celebrate, others waiting have the right to get frustrated if they chose so

Agree with Poshy.. Financial situation is not considered urgent. It is usually better to renew your passport 6 months prior to its expiry date as depending on some of the countries renewal timelines it may take few months and at times needs explanation on why it was not renewed in time.

I understand your frustration, but just as Poshy commented..you have options, and we can't blame IRCC for choices we make.

I chose not to renew my PR card cause my application was already in DM. Now i'm stuck and can't go anywhere..vacation plans are screwed but i can't say its IRCC's fault...yes i wish to get my invite sooner, but i can't hold them accountable for a choice that i made.

They should have kept the damn C24, instead C6 just screwed over people whom waited 4 years. Now they have opened the flood gates once again and to make matters worse there are still applicant in the system that applied base on C6.

I called IRCC and the agent who enjoys her job told me my application is in process and everything is done and I am just waiting for Oath Invite which will come from Mississauga office because my file been transferred to Mississauga. I also called last week and the lazy agent I talked to all she said was my application was in process and behaved like she was doing me a favour answering my call when she could off put my mine at ease and let me know my file been transferred and I am just waiting for Oath Invite.

May be we get the confirmation letter through snail mail as looks like all June 16 got confirmation through email.

Did you get the oath invitation comfirmation yet?
I wonder will come by mail or email because my test invited come by email.

If they had only send my file there months ago I will be done by now instead it’s six months since my test and I am still waiting.

Its too bad for us who is waiting for only this Oath Invite after completing all the process, i do not understand how far we need to wait where others are getting within 2/3 weeks after test.........

Interesting, at least its not back to "in process", as long as you are still in line for Oath it should arrive soon.

Interesting observation, i think its because there aren't any ceremonies in between 09-Jun and 16-Jun so that week is more or less done already.

Invites are spread over the week when there are 2 or 3 days with ceremonies planned in a given week.

I gave them a call too as a reached my 4 months mark (less a day or 2) and was given no useful information at all, the agent said keep calling every 2 months to followup!! ...

Every agent is different last two months when I called I was told I am waiting for Oath slot when I called last week the agent was useless when she could off give some information and three business days later I was told about my file been transferred.Some of those agent behave like they doing us a favour when it’s their job to answer the phone and give us the information we are looking for.
