Police Certificate

Hello Guys,

Currently I'm in Canada (since 2 years). Before coming to Canada, I went to another country to do my masters degree, where I lived for ~ 2 years (went home on every 4-5 months during semester break). So do I need to get police clearance certificate from that country as well or police clearance certificate from my home country and Canada will be sufficient ?

If you have stayed for six months or longer in a row in one place then you need to get a police certificate from there. If you stayed less than six months every period then no need.

You need to get the police certificate from that country as you've stayed for more than 6 months (cumulative).

am102 might be right, you might not require a PCC if you haven't stayed for more than 6 months in a row. It was 6 months cumulative earlier, so i'm not sure about the rules now. Example C: Several short stays in another country

Lailah studied in Spain between 2014 and 2017, for several 4-month study periods but she did not stay there for 6 months or more in a row. The system will not ask for a police certificate, but an officer may ask for one from Spain after she submits her application. To avoid delays, Lailah could ask for a police certificate from Spain and submit it with her application.

If your each stay was less than 6 months, then you do not need PCC from that country.
