Can I withdraw my passport?

I have applied for paper base business TRV on dated 9th April 2018 at Canada embassy in Pakistan but the application is still in process for a background check. Now I want to travel the UK for business purpose urgently so I need my passport return back.

My question is: Can I withdraw my passport? I don’t want to withdraw my application until I get my visa approval then I will able to submit my passport.

Kindly advice

You can send a Case Specific Enquiry to the Abu Dhabi visa office requesting them to return your passport for your UK visit. You must clearly state that you're not cancelling your TRV application + you will submit your passport when requested.

yes, after 2 months with visa approval .

We are travelling next week and sent visa office a mail asking them to send bak passports without cancelling application.....
Did u do the same?

When did they reply to ur mail after u sent them?
The same day or after few days?

i did not get reply back but i got passport return within 2-3 days with visa stamp.
