Hello everyone!
First, I'm from Colombia and I'm trying to apply for studies in Montreal (I have a friend there who will help me with part-time work and accomodation )
The thing is that I'm still undecided in which College apply to. I talked with the next ones:
Montreal College.
-Offer a Programmer Analyst: Web Developer - AEC Program (1 Year). Tuition of $13.000cad/year
Here I would like to do two AEC programs of 1 year each one, then apply for the PGWP. The other program would be Programmer Analyst: Java Programming.
Teccart Institute.
- Offer a DEC (1800hrs) program of Computer Support. Tuition is $21.500cad for 17 months of study.
With this one I can apply directly to the PEQ - Study Immigration program of Quebec, assuming that I can reach the required level of french (would need to learn from zero, only know a few basic words, not even phrases..).
CDI College.
- Offer an AEC - Programmer Analyst: Internet Solutions Developer. Tuition is $23.188cad for 20 months.
In this case the intention is to apply for a PGWP and the apply for the PEQ - Work.
In all three cases I can apply through Express Entry too, although I would need to leave Quebec and find a job offer in another province and work for at least 1 year (or that's what I had read). Also, I was thinking in the options of taking 1 year certificate at Montreal College and then go to Alberta or Ontario and take another 1 year certificate, then apply for the PGWP and the Express Entry program (Or AINP if I choose Alberta).
I would like to hear some opinions about all this "plan" that I have and some advice.
My other question is to know if I can travel to Canada while I wait for the response of my Student Visa application. Apply online in my country and then travel for tourism while I wait the response, then once I get it, go to USA and re-enter to get the Student Visa.
Finally, just to know. ¿Someone know a valid (DLI) institution that offer any certificate (AEC, DEC, DEP) in Culinary arts or similar? I would really like to have that option too (Not Teccart, they ask me to pay $23.800cad in the first month at once for their program of Culinary Arts....)
Thanks to all!!!
