Received word May 18th that our PR application is in Mexico City and in process.
Can anyone help us out, seems to be hard to find info., as far as time line after it gets to this stage. Only thing we have left is; being told, the background police check is IN process (which we have read some people don't get told) and also, at this time no need for an interview, unless we are notified.
Any feed back would be appreciated!

IRCC promised to complete processing of straight forward sponsorship cases within 12months from the date your application was received at IRCC Mississauga........make take less than 12 months and in exceptional cases may take more...

After your application is transferred to outland to Visa Office (Mexico City)........you will receive request for medical exam......and its not unusual not to hear from IRCC for months until you probably receive request for passport..........relax......its a wait game......and knowing that the process is slow could help reduce your waiting stress.

Awesome thank you for the response but the Medical exam was done on March 27 and passed March 29th and PCC and Schedule A was uploaded as well on the 29th of March.

You on track.......its not unusual not to hear from IRCC for months after medical until you probably receive request for passport..........relax......its a wait game

So my husband is from the dr. Our background check was in progress for 8 months and absolutely no updates. It took 12 months 5 days in total to get passport request

Unfortunately no one can say for sure whats next and how long it will take. This process teaches you patience thats for sure. Good luck
