Congrats !I received approval sooner than expected.Applied online Apr. 19, received passport request this week May 23 (5 weeks).
Last year I have created online profile for express entry which was ineligible. Last month, I have applied for study visa. Whether creating online account for study visa would impact the things as I already has online account lined with email id for express entry. Kindly suggest.

I had the same dilemma but I think each application is evaluated separately. I also had an Express Entry profile which was created March 2018 but ineligible. Then I applied for Student Visa in April and still got approved in May.

As I know, difference between Online account and by email is that online account is real-time and status is very much clear. But VFS tracking tool would say "Processed" from "In Process", if this status change would happen, then I should call VFS to understand the detailed status? As I am still in dilemma in creating online account.
