I would like to rest assure everyone that, YES it's possible to find a job while overseas prior moving to Canada.
Took so much effort, lots of applications (talking about 30-40 per day!), LinkedIn presence and activities - Contact & show readiness! It's all worth it! I finally was able to secure a start job in my field while overseas.
I have been in contact with a Calgary-based recruiting agency re: a junior job (very basic salary ~ about $32K annual) in my field. Not too much, but satisfied about it/survival, and most importantly it will allow me to progress in my career. Did 2 interviews over 5 days, and passed their online skills test. Quite positive to secure the job offer.
However, my issue is that the Canadian employer wants to start as early as possible (2 weeks from now) but I'm not in Canada and do not have a valid nor open work permit. They do not seem to support LMIA either (it's a junior job anyways) and I don't think I can ask the employer to sponsor my work visa?
Despite that I do not have a work permit, I do, however, have a valid visitor visa until Dec 2018 (Which allows me to stay in Canada for up to 6 months).
Given my situation above, what are my chances of moving to Canada and start the job while my PR in process?
