It is too late, isn't it?

Good morning, dear people.

I would like to clarify something, just to make sure for good. Also, maybe what happened to me would make good use of information for others are/gonna be on the path.

1. Applied for the study permit -online- outside my homeland on the 25th of April, for the May intake. From the country that I have their flag for my avatar to be precise, and thats where I can put in some insights about. The official waiting time for Germany is one week. That is for West Germany. If you are applying from places like Koln, Frankfurt, etc. you are good. I also confirmed this from first hand experiences of other applicants that I have contacted to. Now, if you are gonna be applying from East Germany (yep, maybe not physically but the wall is still there when it come to bureaucracy), from Berlin for example, that your application is gonna go to the embassy in Vienna, Austria. And you are gonna wait. 6 weeks, the time that they are currently giving. Plan yourself accordingly. Speaking of which..

2. There was a deadline for money refund request, last Friday (the 18th). I couldn't really gamble with it, so I contacted to the institution (Humber) and since then they have started the refund process and my application has been deactivated.

3. Then, yesterday, I got a mail from the embassy. I got the visa. -Exactly in one month.- I mean technically it is not even valid in the situation but yayy.. Arh.. Well, I can see this it be the end to this, at least for this time around. I dont see any options I can take. The program started roughly three weeks ago. As far as I know there isn't much I can do, the after deregistration. If you know anything, I would be more than glad to hear about it. Other than that, almost all programs in September are flatout booked and I guess aiming for the January entry would require a separate application for the visa.

Hence, the question on the title.

you can search for other colleges whose September seat isn't full yet, it will be very tedious to search but if you search you can get one even if its not up to Humber standard, youn an always transfer

Look idk your whole situation but you should’ve deferred your admission or wait for the visa coz now you have to look for September intake. Try that and take help from a professional who could advise you on all this! All the best

Couldn't risk the money in, mate. If only there was a way to join the program.

If feasibly you got admission to another school other than Humber, you can always transfer to another school if you get there. You can seek for a refund given the excuse of visa delay

..or still, you. an write to the school's international office or admissions to make enquiries or seek for more information about getting an extension if your visa came late
