Hey guys,
I need some help here..
I'm working in a limited company - PSPCL (Punjab State Power Corporation Limited) in which Punjab state govt. has controlling share.
1.) Whether it will be considered govt. deptt.?
2.)If yes, Is No Objection Certificate (NOC) required ?
I just want to confirm as it's proving very troublesome to get NOC from my deptt.
Thanks.

Hi,

I work as a State Government Employee in India, and I received my CoPR yesterday. As long as you got a clean service history and no criminal record, Canada will not finch on welcoming you on-board.

Good luck in your endeavours.
That's great..Did you provide reference letter on deptt' letter head? If yes, from whom you got it in your deptt. ( immedite superior or anybody else) ? What other docs (like ID of person providing reference letter or anything )did you provide ?
Pls advise. I'm also working in state govt. Deptt. And it will be of gr8 help. Thanks.

Mine is a bit twisted story (and pretty long too). I had dropped the idea of quitting a (seemingly) very reputable and secure gazetted Government Job and to stay back with my parents, but then a godsend literally dug and excavated me out of this hell-hole (corruption pit). On the inside, I really detested this Government job.

Anyway, long story short: I did not apply as a primary applicant, hence all these documents were not required. Albeit, as I had been initially planning to immigrate, I had assembled all my documents like ECA, IELTS, etc. including job reference letters. I had gotten two versions of these reference letters. First, from my immediate senior colleague (told him that I required it for enrolling into IEEE) and second letter from the Department of Personnel.

Hope that helps ;)

I am not xibalban, but he/she said reference letters were not required because only the primary applicant is required to provide reference letters.

xibalban got his reference letters with all those details but he didn’t use any of those letters because the wife (the PA) didn’t claim points for his work exp as he was only added later after AOR.

Thanks a lot for replying.. Can you help me with following ?.
If I get reference letter from my immediate supervisor on company's letter head (which is word format and printed as a header to every document) with office address and superior's personal phone no and personal (gmail) mail id alongwith ID card issued by deptt., will it be sufficient then? It won't contain any official phone no or mail id with company's domain name. Please advise. Thanks.

In which deptt r u working????? there are not any instructions available......but you can get reference letter printed on a plain paper according to the format and get it signed by any senior officer with whom you have friendly relations.....and in the letter of explanation you can mention about designation , contact details or any other information about that officer. This is the only way left if your deptt. is not cooperating with you

@talkto_vinay

Scenario:
Primary applicant: Me (Employed as Lecturer in a private management college)
Secomdary Applicant: My Wife (Central Govt. Employee)

Stage: Got ITA - Collecting Documents

Question:
1. Since I am primary applicant, do I need to show my wife's employment history as a government employee (I am not claiming points for her experience), if not, then what to mention under work experience / personal history ?

2. Wife doesn't want to resign and gain PR at the same time (keeping in mind she secondary applicant), what would be the best move forward. How to get NOC for ex india leave, that too for months, if not days (using Leave without Pay).

I am confused please help how to proceed, so as the job is secure and we can get some time to experience canada, so as to decide to stay or move back to India

Thanks in advance.
