  1. Did you explain how your degree will help you in Pakistan?
  2. You state that your bank statement fluctuates. Do you explain why? What is your father's business etc.?
  3. Can you demonstrate any economic ties in Pakistan? Like will you take over what your father does
  4. Did you submit a SOP in previous applications?
  5. Do you have any immediate family members in Canada or any relatives that you mentioned in your SOP?
Provide a list of documents that you submitted.

If you ask me, you need to apply for GCMS notes. I don't know what else to say.

Also, give IELTS even if you are exempt.
What is GCMS? How to obtain?

Your list of documents seem to cover anything. But you should consider taking the IELTS. It's not difficult and I think it may help your application. Also try to pay for a year, at least.

The Canadian study permit process is extremely opaque. As you have probably noticed, the refusal letter doesn't really tell you anything. In comparison, a UK Student Visa refusal is typically 1 A4 page in length explain each and every detail of what you did wrong.

GCMS is short for Global Case Management System. By 'GCMS notes' I mean the Visa Officer's actual notes on your refusal. You can apply for these for around $30-$40 or $5 if you know someone with PR in Canada. It takes 4-6 weeks for them to arrive and they'll help you understand both your refusals better. Typically, they contain 2-3 paragraphs that are relevant to you. Even if you have applied for the 3rd attempt, you should get them to get a fresh perspective. You'll need to do your research on how to get them - I never have and don't know the details.

And what about the PCC? It is expiring on 14 June, I will submit the application in a day or two.. Will getting it renewed make ALOT of difference? Cuz I don't want to go to Police Stations again and all, how the police works here is known to all

I can only say what I would do and I would apply for it again. It may or may not make a difference but I'd do it for the peace of my mind.

Did you submit the previously listed documents for your first and second attempt as well?

I'm sorry you had to go through this and lose an opportunity like Waterloo. It is disheartening and I don't know how any visa officer can say you aren't a bona fide student with your scores in O and A Levels. It is a difficult process.

I applied online for the first time, and so could only upload a limited number of documents and I only uploaded the offer letter and bank statements along with the passport of my family and the SoP.
The second time however I did include the educational documents and all, but they weren't notarized or anything.
Maybe because I applied on 15 December, in the second attempt, and the semester was commencing from 3 January, was the issue here. I really don't know what went wrong in the second attempt. It has taken a toll on my mental peace, to say the least.
I gave up the chance to go to esteemed Pakistani universities like LUMS for this very plan, and now I have to undertake a gap year for this. Let's hope it comes to fruition, this time around.

OK.

1st Attempt: You provided inadequate documentation. Don't believe the official list, it is not enough. The CIC recommends you make multi page PDFs for an online application – for example, in the Client Info section I am including my SOP, Resume, FRC, Birth Certificate and other personal documents. Quality of the documents don't matter as long as they are legible. If you are scanning originals, there is no need for attestation.

2nd Attempt: Was it a paper based application? If so, they should have been attested as you were providing copies. However, you applied way too close to the deadline. It takes a long time for a study permit application – i have read horror stories of students waiting more than 6 months. Don't believe the official 7 weeks processing time. It is not reliable.

Yes I did explain how the degree will help me gain an upper hand over local graduates and that will help me prosper in the local job market.
My father does not have a registered business of the sort, he invests for short term on the advise of a trusted estate agent.
I did submit a SOP previously as well.
I do have relatives in Canada, but I did not mention that anywhere on the application as it would make it seem like I might prolong my stay.
The list of documents I will submit is:
-all required forms (4 in total)
-bank statements worth PKR 4.2mill
-offer letter from university, scholarship letter, transfer credit statement, tuition fees payment receipt, list of coursed of my first year
-English Language Proficiency letter from my high school stating that my English language ability is comparable to the native speaker, hence I haven't appeared and also do not intend to appear in IELTS.
-Notarized passports and cnics of my family, will see if I can find FRC as well.
-notarized affidavit from my father stating that he will fund my education
-educational documents: attested copies of O A level transcripts, high school transcript and high school graduation letter along with SAT score report
-letter from the coaching centre, where I have been doing freelance work since my high school graduation stating that I am an honest individual, never found guilty of malign intent.
-3 pages SOP, explaining possible career prospects in Pakistan, the fact that my father owns property and hence I habe a heriditary right to it, and that all my family lives here, as my home ties. Explaining the financial aspect, as well.
-study plan, stating the research I habe done regarding the course and my overall educational and career goals..
-Police Clearance certificate
You say the amount in your bank fluctuates. How much does it fluctuate? The bank statement is of how many months? At any point in your bank statement, the amount has been less than that required for your full year expense plus living expenses that is full year tuition plus 12000 cad? Kindly answer each question so that we can get a clear picture of your bank statement.

Moving on to not being a bona fide student. Probably the visa officer thinks that doing a bachelors in Mathematics wont be beneficial to you especially in Pakistan. He is not convinced that the cost of studying at Waterloo for Maths would provide you with enough financial benefit to justify the cost of studying in Canada. Furthermore, you should have gone for IELTS, Language proficiency is to a limited extent, an indicator to show whether the applicant would be able to succeed as a student here in Canada. It also shows that the applicant has put in extra effort to show this to the VO even though IELTS was exempted to him. So you should definitely go for IELTS. Furthermore, I would agree with @AstronomyNut that you should go for GCMS notes. You can get them from here https://www.caipsgcms.com/ However it may take a month to get them so by the time you will get it and make amendments to your application, you wont have enough time to get your study permit in time but better late than never.

I too applied for study permit on 20th October and for Waterloo (The same University too) CS bachelors program and my application was approved. You have to prove that you are a bona fide student and giving IELTS should be a must for you now since this will be your third attempt. You need every plus point in your application that you can get.

About your PCC, There has been refusals on missing PCC by the Abu Dhabi embassy and the rule of thumb is that the date of issuance of PCC should not be more than 3 months old by the time you are applying so get a new one.

I am asked to bring documents required for proof of funds(ie.bank statements) updated till week of interview. Got updated bank statements. Is it sufficient to take bank statements only as required or should I take property and other documents?
got any response after interview?

Guys...

This is Hassan, a 25 years old graduate from Karachi, Pakistan.

I did bachelors in Business Administration (16 years completed) from Iqra University with 3.27 CGPA...

I now intend to look for study visa of Canada.

I have explored some of the options by myself...Since you guys are quite experienced and may have gone through the process of study visa...I will surely want to take advice from you.

I am actually confused.

My first question:-

I have now two options being a Bachelor.

1 - Masters of one/two years in Canada
2 - Post graduate Certificate/diploma of one/two year in Canada.

Please tell me which one from above two is gonna best in getting me student visa successfully.

Also second thing is by reading other threads/posts...I came to know that getting student visa by admitting to college is quite difficult compared to being admitted in university....Is it true?

Third thing is How do you rate Simon Fraser university and University of Saskatchewan...Will they prove to be helpful in getting me student visa?

Fourthly, I want to remain there in Canada after studying....will look for job simultaneously while studying and then will like to give application of work permit ( to extend it ).......The problem is will visa official in Pakistan after hearing this during interview still approve my student visa? because I have read that they want/ask confirmation from student to return to their home country after completion of studies and failure to provide that promise can get rejection to your student visa. Is it true?

And Lastly....What questions a visa official ask to Pakistani students during interview? Please mention some questions.

Thanks for reading this. I will be thankful to you if you reply to all of my five queries. Hope these are not tricky questions

Peace.
