Hi,

My spouse and I, we just received a Pre-Arrival Services letter (IMM5801) from IRCC Hong Kong informing us that we have received free pre-arrival services funded by Canada. However, we have yet to have an interview with them. What do this mean? Does this mean we will no longer have an interview?

Thanks,
FN

Pre-arrival services indicates the eligibility assessment for the PA is completed and no interview may be required, a good sign, and after the background checks is completed.......your will receive request for passport (PPR)..

Thank you, that's really helpful! We thought they made a mistake.

However, this also brings me to another question.

In March, the IRCC Hong Kong sent me an email asking for my police clearance certificate from France and to clear the personal history gap from Schedule A. The due date they gave me was May 15th. I obtained everything and mailed everything in on April 28th, well before the deadline. However, my status on the On-Line Services continue to say that I need to submit these documents.

So yesterday, when I checked their email again, I noticed that I missed the part about "quoting my Application # on top of all submitted documents". I thought maybe the reason my status on the On-Line Services says I still haven't submitted the documents is because I forgot to write down the Application Numbers on top of the docs. So I immediately filled out an inquiry with IRCC Hong Kong asking them whether or not they have received the my police clearance certificate and schedule A, and whether or not I should ask for another copy to mail in again. I also attached a scan of the schedule A, the police clearance certificate and the package delivery receipt with the inquiry.

However, instead of answering my question, they send me the "pre-arrival services" letter today. What does this mean? Does this mean I don't have to ask for another police clearance certificate? It's so confusing...

Thank you!

You have sent IRCC the PCC from France..........and if IRCC needs any document from you they would have informed you.......relax.

If you has sent IRCC the corrected Schedule A and PCC........relax......its all okay......per-arrival services is good news......relax.

We have the same case. How long the background check it takes?

Can't really tell.............background checks involve security screening by intelligence agencies like CSIS, Interpol, agencies in your home country etc.

Not quite sure, we haven't really looked at them but we noticed that most of them are online.

Hello, just wondering if you ever had to do the interview. When did u get final decision made? I got the pre arrival letter a few weeks ago and I'm still waiting for a final decision.
