is there anyone who is travelling on 31 may,2018 from mumbai to toronto?

i need help from them who has travelled by air canada ..on the website of air canada, it is written that we can carry food with us in cabbin bag but somewhere else they have written that food can not be brought to canada due to possible impact on their eco system etc etc...all those who have travelled are requested to guide me on this .

can i put pulses like moong / spices etc weighing 500 gm-1 kg in check in luggage?

can i put large packs of noodles, biscuits , waffers etc in check in luggage?

i read that custom declaration form should be filled after arriving on toronto..should i write all the stuff in that form which i will carry with me ? it is wriiten if we don't fill that form and we are caught carrying fruits etc, we can be fined $1300..i am flying first time..please help me.

You must declare any food or spices when entering Canada else it could be confiscated and you could be fined. If in doubt just declare it is the usual advice given once declared the worst thing that could happen is confiscation.

There are lists of prohibited or restricted food stuffs which I believe probably include meat , fruit/vegetables and dairy products which should not even try to bring but ultimately will be upto customs what they allow in or not. Most things people bring are easily available in Canada although maybe not labelled the same

You will get everything here. There is no need to carry all these things. Once you land, go to any indian store. There are plenty of them.
